Harvest Moon (2017) Original Mixed-media Sculpture by Seona Mason

22 x 50 x 28cm

28 Artist Reviews

£595

This seated figurative sculpture has been created from multiple manipulated pieces of 12" vinyl music records. The lava-like stylised form is directly inspired by the significant geological coastline of East Lothian, which also inspired James Hutton 'The Father of Modern Geology'. Seona spends much of her spare time exploring this area - her home stomping ground.
The "Harvest Moon" figure is perched upon local Scottish oak, with gold mirror and black perspex detail. Seona's fine art practice and interest in geology contrast with today's modern materials.
