I was drawn to this coastal scene by the quiet balance between land, sea, and sky. The simple boats and shoreline buildings allowed me to focus on light, reflections, and atmosphere rather than detail. Working loosely in watercolour, I wanted to capture a sense of calm and familiarity — a moment of stillness that reflects the timeless character of small coastal harbours and my own connection to these places.
