An early painting of Ham Pond, my aunt and I spent many hours here grappling with the seasonal changes. This one is in August where the thick foliage is beginning to bear down over the pond’s boundaries. Keen on the bright green of the willow trees, I have offset them with pink, one of my favourite combinations. It reminds me of the kindness of my aunt who, despite her advanced age, faithfully joined me working from August to December 2024.
