An early one from a series of paintings of Ham Pond in Petersham made with my aunt Isobel Johnstone. It uses a favourite palette of green and pink, to express the freshness of early June foliage. It is special because painting with my aunt has been a favourite pastime since she first began teaching me oil painting when I was a fifteen.
