This photograph was taken during my bicycle journey through Crimea in 2012. While traveling along the rocky coast, I came across these remarkable wind-shaped trees standing on the edge of a cliff above the sea.

Their twisted forms seemed almost alive, as if they had been guarding this place for decades, shaped by wind, salt air and time. Above them, dramatic clouds stretched across the sky, adding movement and tension to the quiet landscape.

I chose to present the image in black and white to emphasize the textures of the rocks, the sculptural character of the trees and the powerful contrast of the sky. For me, this photograph captures the wild and timeless beauty of the coastal landscape.
