Guardian of Nature (2025) Linocut by Jennie Smallenbroek

From a single lino sheet, I printed 20 layers of color . Each layer required the utmost precision, patience, and drying time, giving this artwork a rare and unique character . Because the faces were too small to print beautifully, I painted them by hand . This gave each angel its own expression and personality.

This reduction print is available in a very limited edition of only 14 copies . Each copy is hand-signed, numbered , and includes a certificate of authenticity .

For this work I have chosen the best materials:
• Fabriano Tiepolo 100% cotton paper – museum quality with a beautiful structure
• Caligo Safe Wash printing ink , sometimes with almost half a pot of white in one layer for maximum brightness and depth
• Passe-partout of 27,5 x 19,5 inch (70 × 50 cm) included (print size: 22,8 x 13 inch (58 × 33.5 cm)
• Optional wooden frame with polycarbonate glass

While printing, I was inspired by classical music and the peace and strength that angels symbolize. Guardian Angel of Nature is the first print in my new angel series, in which I express the connection between humanity, nature, and light.
