Most of the hills and mountains near home tend to be flat topped and windswept with a covering of low plants and boggy ground, but happily there is still a lot of colour to be found , the low growing shrubs like ,mosses cotton grass gorse and heather all offer different shades of reds yellows and greens and colourful flowers throughout the year.
