Original artwork description
There are a couple of garden tools that I can not live without. The most important is the Japanese tool called a Hori Hori knife. It digs, measures, weeds, helps me clean my worm composting bin, is comfortable to use, and replaces almost all of my hand tools. If I had just one garden tool on a desert island, this would be the one. The second tool is my trowel. Wider than the Hori Hori, it helps when moving larger bits of soil and filling pots with soil. Together, they are a perfect team for on your knees hand work. Of course, nippers and the rest are important too, but these two do the most work by far. This painting honors them.
"Green Thumb-Garden Tools" is an original oil painting on 8.5 x 5 linen . I generally paint alla prima, meaning in one sitting, and from life. All my work is done using professional and archival paints on archival canvas or linen. The painting comes unframed allowing you to choose a frame that will best suit your taste. This painting comes unmounted but your framer can easily mount it as s/he frames it as part of ther service.
