This artwork is part of the “German Landscapes” series. It depicts early spring in a park in the city of Nordhausen. I painted this piece en plein air and later completed it in the studio. In the foreground, a small green pond can be seen, reflecting the surrounding trees. The painting is created in green tones, with a strong contrast between light and shadow, as well as a well-rendered sense of atmospheric perspective. This artwork offers a sense of visual rest through its color palette and conveys an atmosphere of calm, hope, and spring.
