It is part of an ongoing exploration of the theme
'HORIZON', and is part of a series of paintings and digital prints which have evolved through a continued fascination with colour, abstraction, space, line, order and rhythm. The coast of West Wales, provides much of the inspiration for my work.
I am interested in the re-presentation of the real through abstraction which allows different connections to be made by the viewer. The root of the image may come from observation but equally it can be a discourse between form, line, texture and colour.
The way in which the image is ordered, how all the elements are arranged or relate to each other is the driving force behind the work.
