This painting is comprised of various figures layered on top of one another, utilising the form of shadow painting. Green Dove is made with hands, creating the bird form via shadow and represented by the colour green: symbol of growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Many hands reach for Green Dove, reaching for it to grasp as it flies just out of reach - the hands symbolise ambition, greed and jealousy.

These contrasts play against one another, seeking to resolve and gain harmony and balance.
