Grandview Farm in Stowe, Vermont (2026) Photograph by Francois de Melogue

Grandview Barn stands at the junction of Upper Hollow and Stowe Hollow, its timbers set close to the bend where the spring mud gathers and lingers. The barn is a record of what has been. There is the ghost of the sheep in the pasture and the heavy, rhythmic passage of dairy cattle through the doors. Years later, the space offered a brief, dry shelter to travelers moving through the valley, leaving behind only the silence of their departure.

Every use has left a weathered layer of history upon the land. The churned earth bears a century of movement, each rut a fleeting signature written into the soft, waking soil. These marks appear each spring, a brief recovery of the past, before they settle back into the anonymity of the land.

Quality is about longevity. I use a high-resolution Canon R5 Mark II to capture every detail of the Vermont landscape. Each piece is printed in-studio using professional-grade Canon Pro-1100 and Epson P9000 systems with archival pigment inks on natural cotton paper to create a print that will last for generations.

Print only, with a 1/4 inch wide white bordering for convenient matting and (or) framing

Unmatted (unmounted)/ unframed

Materials used:

Shot on Canon R5 Mark II. Printed on Canon Pro-1100 & Epson P9000 using museum-grade archival pigment inks on soft, natural white cotton fine art paper.
