I painted this scene with a sense of quiet affection. It’s evening in the countryside, and the sky is glowing with soft oranges and purples as the day winds down. Three children and their little dog are making their way along the cobbled path—running, walking, full of life. Behind the stone wall, Grandma leans forward, watching them with that gentle, familiar gaze. There’s laundry on the line, smoke rising from the chimney, and a feeling that everything is just as it should be.
