This sophisticated mixed media piece is defined by a compelling interplay of light and shadow, achieved through a meticulously sculpted textural base.
Composition & Materiality:
Selective Resin Application: A high-clarity epoxy resin is applied specifically to the lower portion of the artwork, creating a striking contrast with the upper section. This intentional layering over the texture enhances the depth and luminosity of the bottom half, evoking a sense of fluid movement or grounding weight.
Textured Foundation: The entire composition is built on a hand-applied textural base, allowing the ambient light to catch the edges of the sculpted forms differently in the resin-coated and non-coated areas.

Through layered texture and epoxy resin, I create depth and a suspended moment of change, where fracture does not represent an end, but the beginning of a new balance.
