Original artwork description:

The word "reverie" comes from French and means a daydream, or a pleasantly lost state of being absorbed in one’s thoughts.
By naming this painting, I wanted to evoke the feeling of a daydream wrapped in golden light. For me, the sunflower itself symbolizes warmth, memory and quiet reflection, gently inviting the viewer to pause and drift into thought — just as my soft watercolour style encourages.

This is an original, unframed watercolour painting that captures the warmth and vitality of a sunflower in full bloom. I painted it using artist‑quality Winsor & Newton watercolours on 300gsm Arches cotton paper. Through delicate layering, transparent washes and fine brushwork, I aimed to bring out the richness of the golden petals and the textured depth of the seed head.
The subtle green foliage creates contrast, enhancing the sunflower’s vibrant glow. The composition feels spontaneous yet balanced, inviting you into a sunlit moment of late summer — a quiet, golden reverie of your own.

Materials used:

Winsor and Newton Watercolours, Arrtist Quality, Arches 300gsm Watercolour Paper
