I created this large neutral gold abstract painting as a study of structure, contrast, and refined texture — where intersecting lines define space and layers reveal depth.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I built the composition through multiple layers using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Soft grey, warm beige, and muted taupe tones form the foundation, while deep charcoal and black accents introduce contrast and strength. A central cross-like structure, enriched with gold elements, creates a visual axis that anchors the entire composition.

The gold accents interact with light, adding warmth and a subtle luminous quality that shifts throughout the day. The textured surface enhances this effect, allowing the painting to feel dynamic while maintaining a calm and sophisticated presence.
