Golden Arches II (2023) Original Oil Painting by Christina M Plichta

Painted both on-site at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis, MN and in studio. Features a cluster of autumn trees forming an arcing shape and sparkling in the light. The center trees' fall color includes golden yellow, lemon yellow, pale yellow and bronze, framed by green-gold trees at either side. Golden leaves and grasses spread across the ground below the trees. The sky is streaked with ultramarine blue, pale blue, and white, and the lake in the background is a light aqua color. Painted in oil over casein paint on canvas. The foliage is enhanced by thickly textured oil paint applied with palette knife. Iridescent gold, bronze, green, and pearl white re incorporated into the paint.
This canvas is unframed with painted sides and a wire on the back. It is ready to hang as it is, or it may be framed if desired.
