Original artwork description
This piece was created based on photos that I edited and manipulated in Photoshop. After the digital work was completed, I had it printed and glued onto a linen canvas. I then proceeded to work on it with gel medium, acrylic, oil paint, oil sticks, and an antique gold chrome paint. The work is framed in a matte black shadow box frame and is ready to hang. It is highly detailed and plays with light through the texture and the use of materials. I applied the materials with palette knives, rollers, sponges, brushes, and my fingers. The piece measures 100x100 cm, but with the frame, it is 103x103 cm. An alternative frame colour is optional. This process creates a dynamic interplay between digital precision and manual artistry, often invoking pleasant curiosity in viewers.
