When creating this painting, I wanted to capture a poetic lakeside moment filled with sunlight. The warm architecture, blooming flowers, tranquil water, and distant mountains create a harmonious and romantic dialogue. I designed the composition so the viewer’s eye begins with the sunlit buildings and figures on the left, moves through the vibrant flowers in the foreground, and finally travels across the lake toward the sailboat and distant mountains, gradually opening the space and atmosphere.
In terms of technique, I used expressive and rhythmic brushstrokes to let color vibrate in the light. The flowers in the foreground are painted with saturated warm tones to bring energy and life to the scene, contrasting with the cool blues of the lake. The architecture and steps are built with thicker paint and stronger light–shadow contrasts to create texture and depth, while the mountains and sky are softened to enhance the sense of distance. Throughout the painting, I focused on the movement of light so the viewer can almost feel the gentle breeze and warm sunlight along the lakeside promenade.
