When I first got my ears pierced (I was 14 years old), I thought my gold plated earrings were the first thing people see. I didn’t even notice that one ear was pierced crookedly (after all, my grandmother did it with an ordinary needle). In them, I became more confident and much more beautiful, as it seemed to me. I walked and thought only about how they looked at me.
