Hello,
This work is one that I produced for my New Forest exhibition in Lyndhurst. It is a landscape sketched and painted in situ and finished in my studio.
The sunsets in the northern part of the forest are stunning in the late winter. The colours, in particular, blow your mind.
The paint has been applied in a rough manner with large brushes and energetic brushstrokes. This gives the image an immediacy and liveliness.
The work is housed in a gilt frame.
