Original artwork description:

This small painting packs a punch. It depicts a tenement in Glasgow, its dark stone radiating an oaky brown, the hue of boot polish and tar. The sky is deeply blue, streaked by a Saltire-like cloud. Small elements of collage are reminiscent of old advertising and echo the nostalgia in the painting.
The work is on a 0.4 inch canvas and can therefore hang without the need for a frame if wished.
