While I was painting the series of portraits I was able to explore the facial expressions and focus on the eyes, which in my opinion are the part of the face that never lies: even from a smiling face we understand if the person is sad, or at least the most sensitive. they can understand it.

I was struck by the expression of the master, the peace he instilled in me ... and I tried to put all my emotions in this painting.

I paint with an ancient technique, that of oil painting.
I use very diluted oil paint, which I put on the painting as it dries, to obtain transparency effects and transform the underlying color to my liking.

To conquer this particular technique and get the results I want, it has taken many years of experiments that are not finished yet.
