Original artwork description:

This painting is part of a series of acrylic paintings exploring the story of Genesis through image. The painting comes from my personal archive of works from the early 1990s, painted in 1991.

It came about through reading the passage and relating to the beginning of the Solar System and the creation of the Earth, but I wanted to come from the angle of pure expression and colour, exploring the forces involved in the creation of the Planets and the Sun. These ideas lead to a series of large paper abstracts exploring colour, painting and print-painting.

These were painted using acrylic paint on thick paper and they have stood the test of time well, being 25 years old.
