Original artwork description:

When creating this piece, I aimed to capture the raw tension and unrestrained energy between the cowboy and the wild horse. The steep red cliffs and the flying dust are not only magnificent elements of nature but also symbols of the cowboy spirit. What I wanted to portray is a “frozen moment of eternity”—when the horse leaps and the cowboy clutches the reins, they merge with both earth and sky.

I employed strong color contrasts: the deep blue of the sky against the vivid red of the cliffs, enhancing the sense of motion. My brushwork combines swift, sweeping strokes to convey the power of swirling dust, while maintaining detailed rendering in the cowboy’s clothing and the horse’s musculature to create tension. The overall composition progresses diagonally from lower left to upper right, reinforcing depth and impact.

Materials used:

Acrylic
