Original artwork description
My favourite local landscape, the Cuckmere Valley in East Sussex UK. This is the view from the National Trust beauty spot High And Over towards Alfriston. The Cuckmere Meanders are a gift to a landscape painter and many artists have painted it over the years although not so much from here, the more famous view is Cuckmere Haven which I have of course painted many times too. I have tried to give the landscape a somewhat magical air by setting it in the evening/night with a full moon hanging over and illuminating the landscape.
