Original artwork description
A solitary walk in Soho takes me along Frith Street, the bustle and life of Old Compton Street just behind me. A retro cafe, reminding me of the 1950s, of another time, same place. I liked the play of light and shadow on the familiar buildings, the stucco like violet cream frosting. I wish I could stay a bit longer, but I decided to seal the view in paint. A perfect souvenir of London. A great way to start a collection.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
