"Friday Night"
100x120cm
Canvas/acrylic/oil
2025
Friday night is a sacred moment of the end of the working week.
The image of the desired ending - when the heat of the day, accumulated fatigue and hope for rest merge into one gesture. Before us is a sunset and a simulation of freedom, a familiar Friday myth, in which everyone hopes to truly rest, at least for a moment.
The painting is part of a project exploring labor as a ritual, obligation and cultural metaphor. Here, Friday evening becomes a new folklore - a time of transition, which a modern person experiences with no less acuteness than a peasant - the change of seasons.
