This was a beautiful view of Lavender fields stretching into the horizon. I was on holiday in France when I saw this breathtaking view. I sketched it and finished painting it in oils. You could almost smell the intoxicating smell of the Lavender on the hot summers day. The blue of the sky contrasted with the purples and mauves of the Lavender an artists delight.
