Freedom Found encapsulates memories of my time spent in the meadows on those hazy summertime days - to feel the movement, the breeze, hear the birdsong, and breathe in the scent.

Responding to these natural influences and my visual memories, I apply layers of paint, scribing through with my palette knife to express movement as I seek to convey the essence of ‘being there’ amongst the abundant wild grasses and meadow flowers, watching the movement of the breeze as it dances through the long grasses.

Creating this painting has been a ‘journey of exploration’ – to bring more freedom of expression, layering colour, mark making, depth and texture into my creative process. There is much of my heart and soul woven into this piece.

Painted in my Cambridge studio. This original artwork is created with Winsor & Newton professional oil paints on high quality stretched canvas, with softwood stretchers. Canvas size is 60 x 80 cm x 4.5 cm depth. The image is extended on the sides of the canvas creating a 3-D effect. The canvas is signed on both the front and the back, and there are 2 D-rings attached to each side of the softwood stretchers strung with strong cord so that this artwork is READY TO HANG to sit flush against the wall, with no need for further framing, offering a contemporary finish to the piece.

Upon purchase, your special painting will be carefully packaged with protective corners over the edges, and packaged with lots of bubble wrap, then lovingly packaged in a cardboard box specially designed for packaging paintings and sent via Royal Mail Parcelforce Worldwide with tracking and signed for.
