Fragment in Yellow is a bold and meditative abstract work, part of an ongoing series exploring shape, texture, and layered colour. Inspired by a deep fascination with ancient manuscripts, archaeological scrolls, and forgotten records of the past, this piece reflects a visual language of erosion, preservation, and silent storytelling.

At the heart of the composition lies a field of yellow—weathered, soft-edged, and textured like aged parchment—floating against a dark, moody background. The work balances simplicity of form with complexity of surface, drawing the viewer in to notice fine cracks, tonal shifts, and marks of the artist’s hand. It evokes the feeling of discovering something buried—an abstract relic, half-remembered and beautifully incomplete.

The canvas is sold unstretched, with generous painted borders to allow for flexible presentation. It can be either stretched on wooden bars (with plenty of painted canvas to go around the sides - overall canvas material size is 150cm x 1104cm and actual artwork size is 144cm x 98 cm. It can be stretched on 120cm x 80cm bars) or mounted in a frame. The painting will be rolled up and safely packaged for postage.
