“For the first time, nothing needed to happen”

Gentle concentric ripples spread across the water, drawing the eye toward a quiet center where movement and stillness become one. Light filters through the surface, revealing soft reflections and hints of the underwater world, creating a sense of depth, transparency, and serenity.

This original oil painting is part of my ongoing exploration of calm water as a symbol of inner peace and mindfulness. Built with multiple translucent layers of oil paint, the work captures the shifting light and delicate textures that exist beneath the surface.
