Original artwork description
This series takes its name from my first important solo show dedicated to MEMORY SUSCITERS = MNEMAGOGHI (from the title of a tale by Primo Levi). In this period of my life I needed to face the REMEMBER, as perhaps happened to you too.
Certain THINGS had for me an immense evocative power and only seeing them brought back to me precious moments spent with loved ones that I was afraid to forget.
I discovered a simple leaf that took me back to when I was a child and when I ran in rubber boots in puddles!
I discovered that, by painting those things, I stopped the memory and all the moments connected to it!
From the first works in this series, my first important solo show was born at the Monumental Library of San Giovanni in Parma in 1999 and my entry into the world of art.
The work is currently equipped with a frame made up of simple strips just as it was presented during the last exhibition, it will be my concern to replace it with a better one.
