Flowers of Emotion (2026) Original Watercolour by Anna Shabalova

I started creating these "Flowers of Emotion" as two separate paintings, and I realize now that was a mistake. Something felt off—I kept looking at them, day after day, feeling a subconscious restlessness. I knew I was missing something essential, but I couldn't quite grasp it.
​Until last night.
​I had such a profound dream that suddenly everything clicked into place—it was like finding the final missing piece of a puzzle. They say our subconscious speaks the loudest in our sleep; we just have to be willing to listen and see.
​These two pieces were never meant to exist apart. They are like twins bound by the same bloodline. They aren't identical; each speaks its own language and tells its own story of a specific feeling. Yet, they are inextricably linked—two sides of the same coin.

If these flowers could speak, what story would they tell?
