This artwork was created in May 2017. Acrylic on stretched canvas.
Floral Abstraction 5.22 is part of my continuing series looking at the beauty, language and gesture of flowers and plants. The motion and gesture that I see in their stillness is very exciting to convey in these abstractions and what I feel the subject is saying to the world in that moment. This is of course influenced by what is happening in my life at the time I am painting and that mood is also conveyed in artwork which is also a big part of what keeps me wanting to come back and add another work to the series, there is always something new to say. I hope the viewer can also feel the energy, joy and intensity that I felt when I was painting 5.22
The painting is signed at the back, sides are painted white. Sold unframed, it is ready to hang or display on a table top easel
