My face when life gives me lemons :) I don't like flamingoes, to be honest. Have you ever seen them? Their strange beak, maddened yellow eyes full of emptiness and pain (for what? what do they hide?), their massive neck. I had a commission painting of a pink flamingo this May and decided to delve deeper into its character. I see them like animals who are stuck in their bodies, feeling trapped between something inside, sandwiched. However, full of energy inside too. I also feel sandwiched between my motherhood and routine, between my ambitions and reality, between war and thinking about the future. Like this flamingo, I'm a bit annoyed about that :) I hope you find positive energy in this painting, because it's not about complaining about everything; it's about being in touch with reality and having the strength to manage it.
