"Flames of the North" is the concluding painting in my series "Heart of the Spanish North". Inspired by the dramatic landscapes of northern Spain, the work captures the intensity of light, earth, and emotion rather than a literal place.

Layers of crimson, ochre, orange, and deep charcoal create a sense of inner movement—like fire glowing beneath the surface of the landscape. The painting reflects the powerful contrast between the wild Atlantic coast, ancient stone, and the warmth that defines the spirit of the North.

Rather than depicting a specific scene, "Flames of the North" invites the viewer to experience the energy, memory, and emotional resonance of a place that continues to inspire my artistic journey.
