On a rainy day in Wexford town, Ireland, I decided to drive to Kilmore Quay, in search of fishing boats. These boats are large vessels which spend many days at a time out in the north Atlantic, so they are hard worked, more rusty and less pretty than smaller inshore boats.

This is the ‘Shauna Leon’ alongside the jetty at Kilmore, having just been unloaded.

Thankfully the day brightened up for me so I could make this painting in comfort.

It measures 14” x 10” unframed, it is signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
