Fire Tide II is a painting in which I have explored light and lustre. The light red, violet and greens glow between layers of indigo and the lustrous ultramarine blue is a hand-mulled translucent pigment applied in multiple layers to capture light. The nature of this colour creates an emanating presence in blue. The light red and blue push and pull as they expand and contract. This is a painting which glows softly on the wall.
The painting is custom-framed in black and is ready to hang.
