This was the first plein air painting I made during a week long stay in the woods of Pennsylvania. My goal was to stay loose and explore using simple shapes to convey what I saw. The name "Finding the Edge" comes from finding the fine edge between representation and abstraction. The painting is not framed but is a cradled panel so it can be hung as is.
