Filón — Large Blue Abstract Vertical 160 cm (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Kseniia Turik

80 x 160 x 3cm (unframed)

£3,120.16

Filón is the Spanish word for an ore vein — the narrow current of metal that runs through stone. I painted this work thinking of Río Tinto, the copper river of Andalusia, where orange-red water flows between banks of grey-blue slate. I wanted to capture that moment seen from above: mineral inside mineral, metal inside silence.
A large vertical abstract painting on canvas, 160 × 80 cm, in acrylic and lacquer (no resin). The copper pigment is layered, poured and worked by hand into a textured, tactile surface. The slate-blue ground stays deep and quiet. A monumental statement piece for a contemporary interior — an entrance, a stairwell, a living room with a tall wall. The palette pairs beautifully with warm wood, brass, leather, white walls and natural stone. Signed on the reverse and delivered with a signed certificate of authenticity. Ready to hang.
