"Fields - Yellow mood" - an impasto impressionistic landscape painting created in a mixed technic - oil and acrylic. This is an original oil painting on a 50 x 60 cm linen canvas with an acrylic layer. Painted with a brush and a palette knife creating a very impasto texture on canvas.

I was inspired by Van Gogh's fields landscapes. This landscape was painted in a plen air in a Russian village with beautiful yellow fields. Originally I planned to paint horses in hedge but later the idea was changed because I had to speed up the process due to a big amount of insects trying to bit me while painting :)
I wanted to show the light and shadow, the movement of air and clouds in this artwork.
