This genre realistic painting is a copy of artwork “Field Rest”, 1954 by well-known Romanian painter - Corneliu Baba (18.11.1906 – 28.12. 1997). Save for a few commissions, normally, I don’t copy someone else’s artworks. This painting is an exception, as it was done as an assignment at my classes at the academy or arts. One of the reasons that I’ve chosen to copy this artwork is the light… I like the play of light and shadows in this painting, the way it makes us focus in the figures, the way it transfers the mood of the artwork…
The artwork is in private collection, but the artist is open for commissions and may repeat the artwork if you really like it.
