A warm yellow sky, with hues of orange signals to us an almost post-apocalyptic scenario. In the midst of all this setup, the remains of what seems to be a Ferris wheel emerge from the depths of the murky waters. Was this place flooded? Is this the aftermath of global warming? Will the waters pull back? Our questions remain unanswered as our gaze glances on the smooth surface of this vibrant wet landscape.

And in this entire universe of eerie silence, a single moving part: the crocodile. Millions of years of evolution and going strong even after humans have all but disappeared, the crock is gently gliding on the edge of the surface. It's powerful muscle movement leaving a ripple of muddy blue water behind.

This work is part of a post-human series in which Virtosu explores a possible future landscape for the remains of humanity.
