Original artwork description:
These are a set of two original paintings in my Ness Series titled Farness and Mysteriousness. They both have their roots in Scotland but more than anything else they are about mood and atmosphere.
They will each be in double antique white arch mounts in 8 x 10 inch black wood frames. Some of the 'frames' shown are digitally created ones for online display purposes but there is also an image of the type of frame likely to be used.
1) Farness is an imaginative dreamscape painting. The tree is symbolically reaching out to those distant places which seem ever more faraway in these strange times.
Medium: watercolours with a wee touch of inktense.

2) Mysteriousness is an evocative, atmospheric painting which was inspired by my love for Edinburgh. A fascinating city with so much history, so many stories to tell. A wee bit of nostalgic time travelling.

A signed certificate of authenticity will be available for the paintings.
Please note that the colours of the original may be slightly different to what you see on your screen owing to the varying configurations of individual computer monitors and other equipment. Please also be aware that some of the images you will see on zoom may be larger than the actual artwork (with some possible loss of definition) especially if viewed on a larger screen.

All watercolour and mixed media paintings are created on heavyweight acid free watercolour paper. All paints used are professional artist's quality. Paintings are mounted in professionally cut acid free conservation mounts.
Frames are usually made of wood and sourced from local framers. Flexible tabs are used to fix the backs of the frames to make it easier to reframe paintings in a frame of the Collector's choosing if they wish to do so.
All my paintings are unique originals. I don't do copies or prints of any of my paintings.
