Artwork description:

From my mother Louise Stanton, who passed away in 2005, I inherited an old printing plate of some trees she had drawn for the grey background of a menu. Last month, I finally got around to printing it, and saw how beautiful the linework was when printed in dark brown. I thought it might be a fitting tribute to her to add in some more lines and colors to compliment what she had done. An experiment really. A collaboration. I added a mountain stream (as this scene was probably formed in Colorado in the 1950's, and there were six of us in our family then, and six trees in the image) and some color to flesh out the trees and grasses.

This artwork is hand printed from an old printing plate, and silkscreens using photo stencils on archival printmaking paper, using water-based inks. 8 colors. Maximum image size: 12" x 15" Overall paper size: 15" x 22"

This edition is limited to 22 copies, and each print is numbered, titled and signed by the artist. Each print is considered an original, and can vary slightly from the others. 2021

My print(s) are carefully packaged between multiple sheets of cardboard, matboard and padding, insured to the value of the artwork, and shipped via USPS.

Francis Stanton retains all copyright to the artwork. The copyright does not transfer with the sale of this print.
