Painted in acylic over texture gels and worked over in oils on box canvas Fair Isle is very much left open to interpretation. Paul would describe this piece as an abstracted impression and is a take on the wonderful bays and coasal vistas around the hebrides, where turquoise seas are commmonplace, as are the winds, the coastal wildnes, and the ever changing oceanic atmospheres. Paul has spent many years staying on the various Islands which has etched a lasting impression on his creativity. At 182cm wide Fair Isle has a real presence in the gallery
