The classic iced treat known as the Fab Lolly has featured heavily in my work since I started painting.

I've painted the classic Fab ice lolly so many times, including as part of a huge mural commission in London. This A2 canvas version offers a new angle, a more 3D approach than my usual paintings, whilst maintaining my black outlines and striking primary colours. As with the rest of my work my aim is for graphic, colourful impact over realism.

The end result is a bold, colourful painting that would brighten up any room in your home, or would make an ideal gift for someone with a sweet tooth.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca pen on an A2 sized canvas.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield.
