Contemporary abstract figurative portrait painting with textured surfaces, this original artwork explores identity through layered expression. I created this piece as a grid of nine faces, each emerging and dissolving within a richly textured surface of earthy browns, muted ochres, and soft whites.

I built the surface slowly using layers of paint, scraping, and mark-making so that traces of earlier decisions remain visible beneath the final composition. This contemporary figurative painting is designed to feel both contemplative and visually dynamic, bringing depth and conversation to a modern interior.
