Ex argilla means 'from clay'. This work is reflecting on our connection to the earth and the bible account of man created from God's breath into clay.
The work was accomplished by building up fine glazes. The palette includes colours which reference the sky, wood, ground and so on - all arranged in a deconstructed and cloud like form. The aim of the painting is to provide a warming focus for meditation and peace.
