I created this textured oil painting lights of Italy at evening. The scene features brightly lit houses, contrasted against the dark surroundings and evening sky. Boats float in the foreground, their reflections slightly distorted in the water. My process involved building up layers of oil paint with a palette knife, emphasizing form and movement through texture.
